My Sporting Prowess

In 3 days time, I will be training and racing against Olympic class rowers in Brisbane for the ultimate honour and glory of my Uni.

Somehow it seams fitting that a massively indebted uni would send a 60kg male to race in the open division against some of the toughest competing in Australia (I am told that this event is only just ranked below the nationals)

I will be racing in the blue ribbon event - The men's Eight (Seat Four)

And the slightly less prestigious - Mixed Eight Novelty Event (Who knows were I will sit, my suggestion to put 24 people in the boat, with the two top rows sitting on the lower rows shoulders, so as to create the allusion that we were a Roman Trireme was unfortunately shot down)

Note: For those of you with a current copy of the NSWRA rule-book, you may have noticed that at my current weight, I could in fact qualify for the women's lightweight division. However I am a man, and are quite certain that I am going to be the smallest bloke in my race - but at least I have good fundamentals.
